Instructions
Apply the Rubber Bands
After we have prepared our dyes and folded, twisted or scrunch the t-shirt we use rubber bands to bind sections of the shirt. The areas bound with rubber bands will resist the dye, creating white or lighter-colored areas in the final design. We use plastic squeeze bottles or spray bottles to apply the dye to the shirt, being careful not to overlap too much to avoid muddy colors!
Once the dye is applied, we carefully wrap the shirt in plastic wrap to keep it moist. Letting the shirt sit for at least 6 to 8 hours to allow the dye to set. (For intense colors we let it sit overnight!)

Rinse & Wash the Shirt
After the dye has set, we remove the rubber bands and rinse the shirt under cold water until the water runs clear. We finally wash the shirt with a mild detergent, then dry it according to the fabric care instructions.
